Formed in the early 1980s in the North East of England, the group quickly gained attention for their melodic songwriting and witty, heartfelt lyrics. Their debut album Boat to Bolivia (1986) became a cult favourite, featuring standout tracks including “Crocodile Cryer” and helping to establish their reputation within the UK music scene.
