Lilly Wood and the Prick are a French folk-pop duo formed in 2006 in a Parisian café, made up of Israeli-born vocalist Nili Hadida and Parisian guitarist Benjamin Cotto. Drawing on rich influences from Santigold covers that caught early attention on MySpace to poetic electro-folk explorations the duo released their debut EP Lilly Who and the What? in 2009 through Choke Industry before signing to indie label Cinq7. Their full-length debut Invincible Friends arrived in May 2010 and earned them the People's Choice accolade at France’s Victoires de la Musique in 2011, marking them as one of the French music scene’s most cherished new voices.
International acclaim followed in 2014 when DJ Robin Schulz remixed their song “Prayer in C” from Invincible Friends, transforming it into a global hit that topped charts across Europe from France and Germany to the UK. They’ve since released two more studio albums Shadows (2015), featuring singles like “Box of Noise” and “I Love You”, and Most Anything (2021), an experimental collection inspired by their teenage dreams and genre-blurring instincts. Their music continues to enchant fans with its blend of poetic lyrics, warm melodies and magnetic intimacy.
