James K, the New York-born vocalist, producer and multidisciplinary artist also known as Jamie Krasner, has spent more than a decade shaping the outer edges of underground electronic music. Her sound is unmistakable: breathy, lilting vocals and intricate production that drift between dream-pop, trip-hop and experimental electronics, equal parts organic and machine-made. She founded her own label, She Rocks!, in 2015, and has released through respected homes including AD 93, Incienso, PAN, Dial and UNO.
Her catalogue runs from the album PET (2016) to Random Girl (2022) and the acclaimed Friend (2025), alongside standout singles such as "Blinkmoth (July Mix)", which was named among Resident Advisor's best tracks of 2024. A magnetic live performer and DJ, she has shared stages with James Ferraro, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Yves Tumor and Priori, collaborated with the likes of Drew McDowall and LEYA, and has hosted her long-running NTS show "Trip Lick" since 2019. Expect a hypnotic, deeply atmospheric set from one of the scene's true originals.
