Los Angeles “fairy-doom” trio merging doom, shoegaze and sludge into emotionally resonant music rooted in myth, memory and raw vulnerability.
Faetooth are a Los Angeles trio who describe their sound as “fairy-doom” a haunting, experimental fusion of doom metal, black metal, shoegaze and sludge. Formed in 2019, the band consists of Ari May (guitars & vocals), Jenna Garcia (bass & vocals) and Rah Kanan (drums). Their early work, including the …An Invocation EP (2019), introduced a raw, immersive atmosphere. Their debut album Remnants of the Vessel (2022) refined that sound with heavy, textured riffs and ethereal vocals, showcased in tracks like “La Sorcière” and “Echolalia”.
In 2025, Faetooth released their sophomore full-length album Labyrinthine (2025), via The Flenser, which explores grief, memory and the emotional landscapes we carry. Their single “Death of Day” (2025) draws from myth and personal reflection, described by the band as an ode to Lilith and a statement of defiance against being marginalised. They’ve taken this sound to the stage with their 2025 tour, including UK and European dates and major festivals like Download and Hellfest.
