English Teacher, an indie rock band from Leeds, have quickly gained attention for their clever lyricism and eclectic sound. Formed in 2020, the band burst onto the UK music scene with their critically acclaimed debut EP Polyawkward (2022), which showcases their distinctive blend of angular guitars, introspective lyrics, and a touch of post-punk.
They've played at several prominent UK festivals, including Latitude and Live at Leeds, cementing their reputation as a must-see live act. In addition to headlining their own shows, English Teacher have supported acts such as Sports Team, further expanding their fan base. With their intelligent, reflective approach to songwriting, the band is set to be one of the UK's most exciting new voices.
