Formed in 2015 by vocalist Rakel Mjöll, guitarist Alice Go, and bassist Bella Podpadec, the band emerged from a conceptual art project that quickly evolved into a full-fledged musical force. With a sound that stitches together razor-sharp guitar lines, driving rhythms, and soaring, theatrical vocals, Dream Wife have carved out a distinctive place in modern rock.
From their self-titled debut album, which delivered feminist firepower, dance-floor energy, and instant anthem, to their later releases embracing vulnerability, emotional depth, and expanded sonic textures, Dream Wife have built a reputation for radical honesty and high-voltage performance. Their music often tackles themes of bodily autonomy, gender expectations, desire, rage, joy, and the complexities of intimacy, all with a rebellious edge and a wink of humour.
