Colin Meloy is an American singer-songwriter and author best known as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the critically acclaimed indie folk-rock band The Decemberists. With a literary approach to songwriting, Meloy’s work is characterised by intricate storytelling, vivid imagery, and a penchant for blending historical and mythical themes with contemporary indie rock sounds.
