BABYMETAL is a globally recognised Japanese metal band blending heavy metal with J-pop influences, a unique genre they dub “kawaii metal.” Formed in 2010, the trio consists of charismatic members Su-metal, Moametal, and Momometal.
Their 2014 debut album BABYMETAL garnered international acclaim, with standout tracks like "Gimme Chocolate!!" becoming anthems. The band has since released several albums, including Metal Galaxy and The Other One. Notably, BABYMETAL has graced the stages of major UK festivals, such as Download and Glastonbury, bringing their electrifying energy and choreographed stage shows to new audiences.
Their UK presence extends beyond festivals, as they have supported prominent acts like Metallica and Red Hot Chili Peppers on their global tours. BABYMETAL's theatrical performances and genre-defying sound have earned them a dedicated fanbase and cemented their status as trailblazers in modern metal.
