Ania Magliano is a rising star in the world of British comedy.
Following her Cambridge graduation, Ania embarked on a dedicated pursuit of stand-up comedy. Recognising the importance of a supportive community, she co-founded Stockings Comedy, a collective dedicated to female and non-binary performers. Stockings provided a safe space for Ania and her colleagues to experiment with material and develop their comedic personas.
The Edinburgh Fringe in 2022 proved to be a turning point in Ania’s career. Her debut hour-long show was met with rave reviews. The Times described it as “elegantly amusing, surprising and inspiring,” while The Guardian included it in their list of “10 Fringe Shows Not To Miss.” The positive reception catapulted Ania into the national spotlight.
Her comedic style often centres around personal anecdotes, delivered with a self-deprecating charm that endears her to audiences. While her material touches on a variety of topics, her bisexuality and multicultural background often weave their way into her routines, adding a unique perspective and refreshing honesty.
