"Great performance, shame about the poor sound in the venue"

Adam Ant is a living legend, one of the great performers and, although we enjoyed the concert very much, we did feel that it was let down by the poor sound quality in the venue (Brixton Academy). We are very much hoping that next year's event will be held at the Roundhouse as it has been for the past few years. We will not return to the Academy, lovely as it is, as the sound is so terrible that it spoils the experience.

Loved every bit of this gig,,,, brought back memories of my youth as it did for every one there. Adam Ant absolutely rocked it to the rafters. The band he had were fantastic, really brought the Ant sound with a rocky edge. Glam Skanks who were the support act were an absolute dream,,,, really rocky, without being too heavy, top notch in playing their instruments and the lead singer, boy oh boy what a voice. They are so much more than a support act. This was THE best birthday gift I could have ever got.

Venue nit good for disabled parking. Seating was ok but we was near the front.
Soon as the popular songs came on every from the back came down no control security staff could nit control them. Might as well have standing. Adam Ant space out but good concert.

Before becoming one of the most easily recognised pop icons of all time, Stuart Godard embarked on his musical career with the pub rock band Bazooka Joe. As pub rock became eclipsed by the rise of the punk movement in the late seventies, he adopted his now familiar stage name and started the band Adam And The Ants.

But his vision went far beyond the dead-end nihilism of punk and predicted the oncoming decadence and imagination that would characterise the eighties. The records Kings Of The Wild Frontier (1980) and Prince Charming (1981) would exhibit a flamboyance that went far beyond all that had preceded it, and with songs that actively recruited fans to join what would become the New Romantic movement Adam And The Ants would become a definitive part of pop history.

So be ready to unplug the jukebox one more time when Prince Charming hits the road once more.
