About Whitechapel

Whitechapel is an American deathcore band formed in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 2006. Known for their intense, brutal sound that blends death metal and hardcore, Whitechapel has established themselves as one of the most respected and influential acts in the extreme metal scene. Their music is characterised by slamming breakdowns, ferocious growls, and pummeling guitar riffs, all layered with haunting atmospheres and dark, introspective lyrics.

The band’s breakthrough album, "This Is Exile" (2008), helped define the deathcore genre and propelled them into the metal spotlight. Over the years, Whitechapel has released multiple successful albums, such as "A New Era of Corruption" (2010), "Our Endless War" (2014), and "The Valley" (2019), each displaying their evolution while staying true to their aggressive roots.
