80s punk legends and D beat innovators,The Varukers, formed in 1979 in Leamington Spa, England, are a seminal force in the UK hardcore punk scene. Led by vocalist Anthony "Rat" Martin, the band emerged during the 'UK82' movement, blending the raw energy of punk with the aggressive rhythms of D-beat—a style pioneered by Discharge. Their politically charged lyrics and relentless sound have influenced generations of punk bands. With a discography spanning over four decades, including notable albums like "Bloodsuckers" and "Damned and Defiant," The Varukers continue to deliver powerful performances that resonate with both longtime fans and new audience
