Additional information

The Serious Moonlights and Special guests - The Serious Moonlights will be performing a variety of David Bowie's music and will be joined in this by some very special friends. Formed in 2017, The Serious Moonlights happened naturally after getting together to appear in the 'Let's Play Bowie ' nights organised by Gaz Birtles to celebrate the music of David Bowie. However, it was agreed that once a year was not enough and the Serious Moonlights were born. Consisting of Simon Gilroy on vocals and bass, Jono Martin on guitar and backing vocals and Nick Murphy on Drums. Recently joining us will be Pete Turnpenney on guitar The idea is to celebrate Bowie’s music with an emphasis on some of the tracks that get less attention. There are so many amazing songs to choose from and we hope to continue to extend the range with such an important back catalogue available. We are not intending to be a tribute band as there will be no Ziggy makeup involved but we do hope to pay tribute to David Bowie, his music and all of the amazing musicians that worked with him over his career. We do intend you to enjoy the experience as much as we do and will aim to play some of your favourite tunes and hopefully introduce you to some others within each performance. www.seriousmoonlights.co.uk
