The Scratch are a high-energy four-piece act from Dublin, Ireland, who blend the raw intensity of metal with the rich traditions of Irish music. Formed out of a shared love for both genres, the band has developed a unique sound that fuses triumphant melodies with powerful grooves. What began as a fun experiment in a Dublin kitchen soon turned into a major force in the Irish music scene, thanks to their viral busking performance at the Rory Gallagher Festival in Ballyshannon in 2017, which amassed over one million views in just a week.

The band’s debut album, released in 2020, hit #9 on the Irish Album Charts and #2 on the Independent Charts, breaking records for vinyl sales. With each Dublin headliner selling out, including shows at The Underground, The Grand Social, Whelans, and the Button Factory, The Scratch’s energetic live performances have become legendary. Their biggest show to date at The Academy sold out in just four days.
