The Bros. Landreth are a Winnipeg-born roots-rock duo made up of brothers Joey and David Landreth. Formed in 2013 under the influence of their father, session musician Wally Landreth, the brothers channelled their childhood affinity for Bonnie Raitt’s blues, Little Feat’s country-rock and Ry Cooder’s instrumental magic into their own heartfelt sound. Their debut album Let It Lie (2013) earned them the Juno Award for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year Group in 2015, a nomination as International Artist of the Year at the UK’s Americana Music Awards in 2016, and the blessing of Bonnie Raitt herself.
After years of road-worn acclaim leading to break-neck touring, the brothers regrouped for 87 (2019), before shifting into a more introspective, atmospheric palette on Come Morning (2022) a layered, harmony-rich collection featuring synth, organ and textured guitar, crafted in near-seclusion during the pandemic. Their work has been praised for its soul-laden honesty, richly blended harmonies and the emotional depth that only real-life brotherhood can bring.
