Rarely has a cover band had almost as much commercial success as the genuine article â€" but the Bootleg Beatles are definitely one tribute act that has moved beyond the usual round of pub gigs and small events and onto a much larger stage. If you never had the chance to see the genuine article in the 1960s then the Bootleg Beatles are the next best thing. Fortunately, for Beatles fans and devotees of the tribute act as well, we have a selection of tickets for their forthcoming Bootleg Beatles tour dates right here at Gigantic.

The UK dates kick off at the Richmond Live event in Richmond on July 15th, and then the band heads abroad for a short European tour before returning to the UK on the 4th December at the O2 Manchester Apollo. Other dates include the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall (obviously!) on the 6th December, Glasgow on the 8th, Edinburgh on the 9th, Birmingham Symphony Hall on the 15th and criss-crossing the country throughout the month. The tour finishes at London’s Royal Albert Hall on the 23rd and 24th March - not bad for a band whose first gig was in a small pub in Tiverton, Devon!

As you would expect, the Bootleg Beatles play exclusively from the back-catalogue of the greatest band in the world â€" The Beatles. But they do it with such authenticity and execute every song so well that you quickly forget you’re listening to a tribute band. The Bootleg Beatles, along with Abba tribute act Bjorn Again, pretty much kick-started the tribute movement, spawning a generation of bands who not only acknowledge their heroes as influences, but also try their very best to emulate them.

If you grab Bootleg Beatles tickets from Gigantic, you’ll be off to a gig that will offer up a cross-section of covers from four eras of the Beatles’ musical journey. Firstly they’ll introduce you to The Fab Four (Beatlemania conquers the world), before moving on to the Shea Stadium and the final tour era of 1966, when the band stopped touring and became exclusively a studio band. Then comes the ‘Psychedelic Explosion’ of Sgt Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour, before finishing with the ‘Later Years’ of music from the White Album, Abbey Road and that infamous rooftop concert. For each section the band members dress in appropriate costumes, making this a fully immersive experience.

If you’d like to see a potted history of the greatest band in the world, covered by possibly one of the greatest tribute bands in the world, pick up your Bootleg Beatles concert tickets from Gigantic now.
