Connecticut songwriter Drew Collins brings his heartfelt blend of indie folk, bedroom pop and slowcore to life with the warm, playful live band Sundots.
Sundots began life in 2019 as Room, a home-recorded demo capturing songwriter Drew Collins's first moments picking up a guitar and finding his voice. What started as a bedroom project has grown into a much-loved fixture of the Connecticut DIY scene, with friends Jake Fucci, Austin Traver and Nick Restivo helping bring those intimate recordings to the stage. The result is music that drifts between freak-folk, ambient, slowcore and indie rock, somehow managing to feel sincere and playful all at once.
At the heart of it all is Drew's open, stream-of-consciousness approach to lyric writing, wearing his heart firmly on his sleeve. The album Honeyspot (2024) marked a newly refined chapter for the band, exploring themes of youth, maturity, love and fantasy across a set of tender, beautifully crafted songs. Live, Sundots offer something genuinely special: warm, honest and quietly captivating.
