Seahaven are an American indie rock band from Torrance, California, known for their atmospheric soundscapes, introspective lyricism and the rich, haunting baritone of vocalist Kyle Soto. Formed in 2009, the band blend elements of emo, post-hardcore and indie rock to create music that feels both expansive and intimate. Their breakout album Winter Forever (2011) introduced their emotionally raw songwriting and moody guitar work, earning them a loyal following. They further pushed their sonic boundaries with Reverie Lagoon: Music for Escapism Only (2014), a dreamlike, cinematic record that revealed a softer, more ambient side to their sound.
After a period of silence, Seahaven made a powerful return with Halo of Hurt (2020), combining the band’s signature emotional honesty with heavier textures and a renewed sense of purpose. On stage, they’re a compelling presence — brooding, heartfelt and capable of turning subtle moments into cathartic release. With their unmistakable atmosphere and beautifully introspective writing, Seahaven remain a cherished and influential name in modern indie rock.
