Rosalie Cunningham is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Southend-on-Sea whose music blends psychedelic rock, folk and theatrical flair. First gaining recognition as the frontwoman of the London psych-rock outfit Ipso Facto, she went on to form her own project Purson, where her distinctive vision and songwriting truly came to the fore. With Purson, she released two critically acclaimed albums — The Circle and the Blue Door (2013) and Desire’s Magic Theatre (2016) — both praised for their rich, kaleidoscopic sound and evocative storytelling.
Stepping out as a solo artist, Cunningham released her self-titled debut Rosalie Cunningham (2019), followed by Two Piece Puzzle (2022), continuing her tradition of lush, imaginative songwriting and striking vocal performances. Her music conjures a world that feels at once vintage and visionary — drawing on classic rock, prog and folk while remaining unmistakably her own.
