ROME is the long-running project of Luxembourg-born singer-songwriter Jerome Reuter, who launched it in 2005 (the name comes from a shortened version of his first name). Since debuting with the EP Berlin (2006), he has built a hefty catalogue of around 20 studio albums, from early neofolk favourites Nera (2006) and Flowers from Exile (2009) to the ambitious A Passage to Rhodesia (2014). His sound draws on European folk and French chanson, threaded with post-punk and industrial grit, while his lyrics dig into history, philosophy and writers such as Brecht, Hesse and Cioran.
Reuter has teamed up with some notable names along the way, trading vocals with Swedish punk icon Thåström on "Stillwell" from The Hyperion Machine (2016) and welcoming Behemoth's Nergal onto The Lone Furrow (2020). A tireless live performer, he has taken ROME everywhere from Berlin to Saigon, and London fans first got a taste at a packed Electrowerkz show in 2013. Whether he's alone with an acoustic guitar or fronting a thunderous full band, expect brooding, intimate songs that build into rousing, sing-along anthems.
The event is taking place at Union Chapel, London. See individual listings for full venue details.
Tickets go on sale on Monday 26th October 2026 at 10:00am.
