About Pearl Fish

Pearl Fish is a singer-songwriter from South East London who makes her home on the move, living on the UK's canals and rivers. That restless, water-bound life runs right through her music, which sits at the warm and wonderfully strange edge of folk. She often performs with guitar and shruti box, and just as often with an ever-changing crew of fellow musicians, her voice slipping between near-spoken storytelling and soaring melody. Her songs carry quiet melancholy, hope and a good dose of wit.

Pearl has become a welcome presence on the UK folk circuit, sharing a bill with Grace Petrie at Glasgow's Celtic Connections and appearing at Greenbelt festival. She has opened for Rosalie Bevan at The Harrison in London, played intimate shows with fellow songwriter Bozard at venues including London's Green Note and Sheffield's Cafe No9, and teamed up with Bozard and Rob Quo for a collaborative UK tour. Catch her live and you can expect a close-knit, heartfelt night of songs that feel both timeless and entirely her own.
