OneDa is a dynamic and genre-defying artist whose music is a powerful blend of hip-hop, drum and bass, afro-trap, and afrobeats, all informed by her Nigerian heritage and the vibrant music scene of her hometown, Manchester. Known for her sharp lyricism and unmatched wordplay, OneDa effortlessly merges poetic verses with shifting rhythms, creating tracks that are both emotionally charged and sonically adventurous. Her debut self-produced album, Formula OneDa (due Autumn 2024), marks a pivotal moment in her career. Drawing inspiration from the F1 Academy’s drive to empower women in motorsports, the album reflects OneDa’s own journey from a backmarker to a trailblazer. With a musical journey that began in her religious Nigerian household, moving through the ranks of Manchester's hip-hop scene and collaborating with artists like Sam Binga and Mr Scruff, OneDa’s rise is unstoppable. Her unique style, punctuated by her Mancunian drawl and infused with her cultural roots, continues to capture the attention of fans and tastemakers alike, with tracks like "Rude Girl Flex" earning her a spot on BBC 6 Music’s playlist and a performance at their 2023 festival.
