Clwb Ifor Bach

Welsh-language club and community centre Clwb Ifor Bach can be found in the heart of Cardiff’s creative quarter. Named after the 12th-century leader of South Wales, the venue prides itself on shining a spotlight on local talent in addition to hosting big names. Coming shows include indie-rock songwriter Gizmo Varillas and alt-rock greats Slow Pulp.

The Gate

The magnificent church converted into a venue

The Gate

The Gate arts and community centre in Cardiff opened in 2004. The former Plasnewydd Presbyterian Church is a Grade 2 listed building and is a spectacular setting to enjoy live music. Local boy and Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones plays a series of intimate solo shows, and Mercury Prize nominee Sam Lee introduces his new album Songdreaming at The Gate.
