Gogol Bordello announce a massive U.K. tour in support of their latest LP Solidaritine – written in support of the people of Ukraine which critics are calling their most vital work yet.

The rag-tag band of gipsy punks are famed for their wonderfully chaotic shows, packed full of energy and which see the entire troupe dancing with wild abandon. And you can join in with the excitement when you CLICK HERE and book your tickets with Gigantic.

Formed in 1999, Gogol Bordello took inspiration for their name from the work of classical surrealist Ukrainian writer Nikolai Gogol. Based in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York; eight-piece troupe are led by enigmatic songwriter Eugene Hütz (also of Ukrainian heritage) who can often be found at shows crowd surfing aloft a bass drum.

Together with violinist Sergey Ryabtsev and the whole gang, the international band produce a unique riotous take on Romani folk intertwined with bawdy punk and dub. Their songs are often loaded with politically charged messages, spreading ideas of unity and resistance through culture.

"My focus is always on staying experiential. Go for first-hand information, transmute it into wisdom, and share it with the people in a communal celebration." – Eugene Hütz

Last year saw the release of their ninth studio album Solidaritine which is written in retaliation of the Russian invasion of Hütz’s homeland. The thirteen-track record includes a cover of Fugazi’s “Blueprint”, plus powerful anthems “Take Only What You Can Carry" and “Forces of Victory” which both includes lyrical contributions from poet and novelist Serhiy Zhadan.
