Read moreabsolutely no consideration whatsoever for the short-term effects on your hearing, Megadeth concerts are designed to be rumbustious celebrations of all things thrash. The band are undoubtedly one of the best metal acts in the world, as their legion of fans will testify. This isn’t delicate, thoughtful musings on the human condition " this is in-your-face rock at its heaviest.

LA-based Megadeth hit the UK’s shores in November for a short yet memorable selection of dates, and at Gigantic we’re lucky to have a selection of Megadeth concert tickets on offer. The band bursts into life on the 11th November at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow, before riding roughshod through the Manchester Apollo on the 12th, London’s SSE Arena at Wembley on the 14th and the O2 Academy in Birmingham on the 15th. As these are the only four dates for the band this year, we anticipate that demand for Megadeth tickets is going to be very high, so if you want to see them in action, you better be quick.

After leaving Metallica in 1983, guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine formed Megadeth. Although the influence of the mighty Metallica was still there, Megadeth took a slightly different musical path by adding additional layers of instruments, speeding up the tempo and giving the overall sound a harsher, more aggressive feel. Thus, thrash metal in its purest form was born. Today, the band are regarded as the masters of the genre, and have millions of devoted fans across the world. Sell-out tours, gold and then platinum albums and coverage in musical tomes such as Rolling Stone Magazine have seen the band not only achieve financial success, but critical acclaim too " a rare achievement for a metal band.

The line-up has changed frequently, and Megadeth have had their fair share of ‘rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle’ problems. But with a strong back catalogue of polished studio albums such as the 1990 release ‘Rust in Peace’ through to live albums such as the 2007 ‘That One Night: Live in Buenos Aires’, Megadeth have plenty of material to choose from. Now the band are stronger and more cohesive than ever, and with explosive sets and screaming guitars, a Megadeth gig has to be experienced at least once during your musical journey. Grab your Megadeth tickets from Gigantic now (we do advise taking earplugs though, because it’s going to be LOUD!).
