Sheffield's metallic hardcore heavyweights, pairing bruising, groove-heavy riffs with the ferocious live shows that have made them favourites at Download, Bloodstock and Slam Dunk.
Sheffield's Malevolence have spent more than a decade proving that hard graft and heavy riffs go a long way. Formed in 2010, the five-piece mix metallic hardcore with groove and sludge-soaked metal, making their mark with debut album Reign of Suffering (2013) and its follow-up Self Supremacy (2017). Malicious Intent (2022) raised the bar again, before fourth album Where Only The Truth Is Spoken (2025) gave them their first UK Top 40 album. That record was made at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 with Grammy-winning producer Josh Wilbur, with a guest spot from Lamb of God's Randy Blythe. The band now release music fully independently through their own MLVLTD Music label, and they even wrote and recorded a track for World of Warcraft: Midnight in just 12 hours.
The stage is where Malevolence really come into their own. They've toured alongside Trivium, Heaven Shall Burn and Knocked Loose, torn up crowds at Download, Bloodstock and Slam Dunk, and built a fiercely loyal following on their DIY spirit and values of honesty, loyalty and integrity. Expect huge riffs, crushing breakdowns and pits that never let up.
