What is a Luminarium?
A Luminarium is a walk-in sculpture where you can explore a world of colour and light. Inside, natural daylight shines through the structure to create a unique and ever-changing environment.
You can wander through its winding paths or simply find a space to pause and relax. With a gentle ambient soundtrack, many visitors find the experience both calming and uplifting.
Everyone experiences the Luminarium in their own way - there’s no set route, so take your time and explore at your own pace.
Who is it for?
The Luminarium is suitable for all ages and makes a great family-friendly experience.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18+)
- The structure is fully accessible for wheelchair users
- Prams and pushchairs cannot be taken inside
- Dogs, including Guide Dogs, cannot go inside the Luminarium.
How long does a visit last?
A typical visit lasts around 20 minutes. If it’s not too busy, you may be able to stay a little longer.
During peak times, visits may be limited to 20 minutes to allow as many people as possible to take part.

- A short queue may still be in place
- If advance tickets are sold out, a limited number of walk-up spaces may be available, but waiting times may be longer
Will there be tickets available on the day?
