Les Négresses Vertes are a French band formed in Paris in the late 1980s, known for their vibrant fusion of punk energy with Latin, Mediterranean and French folk influences. Their breakthrough came with the debut album Mlah (1988), which featured the iconic single “Zobi la Mouche” and established their reputation for raucous, genre-defying music. Mixing accordion, brass, flamenco guitar and street-wise poetry, the group quickly became one of France’s most distinctive and internationally recognised acts.
Follow-up albums such as Famille Nombreuse (1991), Zig-Zague (1995) and Trabendo (1999) continued to expand their sound, while the compilation Acoustic Clubbing (2001) highlighted their versatility in stripped-back form. Known for their high-energy live performances, Les Négresses Vertes have played festivals and venues across Europe, the UK and beyond, creating joyous atmospheres that turn every show into a celebration. Their influence can still be felt in the worlds of alternative rock and world music.
Ticket prices may vary depending on venue and location. Full pricing details are available on each individual event page.
