ladylike are a rising indie quartet from Brighton whose sound weaves together post-rock, folk and dreamy shoegaze textures with an urgent emotional core. Since forming in 2022, Georgia Butler (guitar, vocals), Spencer Withey (guitar, synth, backing vocals), Archie Sagers (bass) and James Ely (drums) have built momentum with standout singles like “Southbound” and “Horse’s Mouth,” the latter released via Something. Records. “Horse’s Mouth” explores the relentless pace of modern life with shimmering layers and evocative lyricism that has resonated with tastemakers and playlist curators alike.
The band’s momentum has seen them reach the final of the Green Man Rising competition and be shortlisted for Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent, earning festival slots and wider exposure across the UK scene. They’ve also shared stages with emerging favourites including Lime Garden, Ugly, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, Van Houten and Divorce, and supported The Bug Club on tour, showcasing a compelling live presence that cements their place on the next wave of UK alternative acts.
