Kid Congo & The Pink Monkey Birds are a garage rock band from Los Angeles led by the influential guitarist and songwriter Kid Congo Powers. Known for his work with The Gun Club, The Cramps and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Powers brings decades of underground rock history into a project that thrives on grit, groove and raw energy. The band’s sound fuses twisted garage rock with bluesy swagger and Latin-tinged rhythms, delivered with a sense of danger and playful irreverence.
Their releases include Gorilla Rose (2011) and Swing from the Sean DeLear (2021), albums that showcase their love of fuzzed-out riffs, pulsing rhythms and characterful storytelling. Singles such as “La Araña” and “Wicked World” highlight their ability to balance menace with melody. Renowned for explosive live performances, the band have played venues around the world and supported acts including The Black Lips, earning a reputation for shows that are as theatrical and unpredictable as they are fiercely rock and roll.
Ticket prices may vary depending on venue and location. Full pricing details are available on each individual event page.
