JOY (Anonymous) are a London-based electronic duo celebrated for their uplifting, collective-driven brand of dance music, fusing house, disco, gospel and pop in service of community and connection. Comprised of Henry Counsell and Louis Curran, they originally came together during lockdown by taking their gear to London’s South Bank and running spontaneous pop-up parties—decks on the pavement, speakers on backs, strangers invited to jump on the mic.
Their debut album Human Again (2021) drew on the energy of these DIY meet-ups, while their second album Cult Classics (2023) expanded their vision with expansive collaborations and a more polished production aesthetic With a show built on inclusive atmosphere and feel-good euphoria, JOY (Anonymous) stand out as a modern dance act grounding electronic music in shared experience, emotion and joy.
