His recently released books ‘LiveForever - the Rise, Fall andResurrection of Oasis’ and ‘The Art OfDarkness - the History Of Goth’ areboth acclaimed worldwide pop culturebest sellers joining his ‘The StoneRoses and the Resurrection of BritishPop’ and his 2022 book with theleading maverick green energy bossDale Vince from Ecotricity called‘Manifesto’ at the top of the bookcharts..He is currently working on the ground-breaking Green Britain Academyeducation scheme and a zero carbonclothing line called ‘Dark Forest’ in hisdowntime between spoken word toursof the UK and Europe./

 

John Robb grew up in Blackpool (whohave now made him an ambassadorfor the town) before punk rock camealong and saved his life. In the post-punk era he formed the Membranes -the highly influential post-punk bandwhose current critically eulogisedalbums keep pushing forward withadded choirs and textures.

 

He was one of the leading post-punkfanzine writers in the UK with ‘Rox’before he went on to write for the rockpress with Sounds in the 80s. He wasthe first person to interview Nirvanaand coined the expression Britpop andwas instrumental in documenting theMadchester scene with his writing.
