Hotel Lux are the South London-based outfit bringing a sharp, observational edge to the UK’s post-punk revival. With a sound rooted in gritty realism, their music fuses raw energy, wry lyricism, and a distinctly British sense of storytelling—capturing everyday struggles with a mix of biting humour and melancholic charm.
Inspired by punk greats and literary songwriters alike, their 2020 EP Barstool Preaching introduced their knack for blending pub-rock grit with modern urgency. Their debut album, Hands Across the Creek (2023), showcased their evolution, with songs like "Common Sense" and "National Team" cementing them as one of the scene’s most compelling voices.
