Hejira are a seven-piece band dedicated to celebrating the timeless work of Joni Mitchell, with a special focus on her influential 1970s catalogue. Formed by guitarist Pete Oxley, the group bring together some of the UK’s finest jazz and session musicians to recreate the spirit of Mitchell’s music with both precision and heart. Their performances capture the richness of classics such as Hejira, Court and Spark, and Blue, showcasing the depth and artistry of Mitchell’s songwriting during a golden era.
At the heart of Hejira is vocalist and guitarist Hattie Whitehead, whose stunning performances embody the beauty and emotion of Mitchell’s voice while reflecting her trademark guitar style. Together with the band’s nuanced arrangements, they promise audiences an evening filled with faithful renditions of much-loved hits alongside deeper cuts from Mitchell’s extensive repertoire.
