Since forming in 2012, Free Throw’s story has been simple: keep going. The Nashville-based emo-punk quintet have built their reputation through constant momentum, from new records to longer tours and ever-bigger rooms. Their debut album Those Days Are Gone (2014) became an era-defining classic within the genre, launching them onto global tours alongside Hot Mulligan and New Found Glory, as well as festival appearances at Slam Dunk, Riot Fest and The Fest. With each milestone, Free Throw have continued to grow into one of modern emo’s most vital voices.

Their sixth album Moments Before The Wind captures a band pausing mid-step, reflecting on change, loss, renewal and life’s unexpected turns. Recorded with longtime producer Brett Romnes, the record blends Midwest emo textures, sweat-soaked punk energy and crashing alternative rock with the raw, vulnerable lyricism fans have come to expect. Honest, emotionally sharp and full of heart, it shows Free Throw still moving forward, guided by quiet confidence and a deep awareness that the path ahead is rarely straight.
