Gigantic offers you the chance to see one of the world’s leading folk rock heroes play live. This November Foy Vance will play a number of highly exciting headline dates including Fleece in Bristol, The Bodega Social in Nottingham, Manchester Academy 2, Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms and two nights at O2 Shepherds Bush in London.

Also, newly announced are his dates in May of 2017. See him headline at Arts Club in Liverpool, Cambridge Junction 2, Y Theatre at Leicester, Concorde 2 in Brighton and essential Sheffield venue The Leadmill.

Tickets for the new dates will become available at 10:00 of Friday 11th of November. Set a personal reminder through Gigantic to arrive via text message or email so you are ready for their release.

Critically acclaimed, Foy Vance is a vastly talented singer and songwriter from Bangor in Northern Ireland. Having spent much of his youth travelling through America, Vance soaked up the rich musical texture of the South as well as adopting much of it’s aesthetic in his appearance.

Vance finally planted some roots in Ireland where he worked and released his debut album; Hope on Wurdamouth Records in 2007. His unique knack for writing uplifting songs and his magnificent voice saw him rise from local folk hero to international star, due to being invited to tour with the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Marcus Foster, Snow Patrol, Ed Sheeran and Sir Elton John.

Signing to Glassnote Records, Vance released second album Joy Of Nothing in 2013. He also returned to his home town of Bangor to produce his first live recording; Live At Bangor Abbey.

Vance became the second ever artist to sign to Gingerbread Man, the record label started by singing sensation Ed Sheeran, under which he released his third album entitled The Wild Swan. Released in May of 2016, The Wild Swan was recorded in the Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tenessee. It sees him work with legendary producer Jacquire King. The Grammy Award winning producer has also worked with the likes of Tom Waits, Norah Jones, James Bay, Kings of Leon, Of Monsters and Men.
