Ezhel, born Sercan İpekçioğlu in Ankara, is one of the most influential voices in the rap scenes of both Turkey and Germany. Now based in Berlin, he grew up surrounded by a wide range of musical influences, from reggae and hip-hop to Anatolian rock, shaping a sound that feels both rooted and forward-thinking. Beginning with underground rap battles and freestyling as a teenager, Ezhel quickly developed a reputation for authenticity, emotion and fearless storytelling.
His breakthrough debut album Müptezhel (2017) became a cultural phenomenon, blending rap, trap and reggae elements while addressing urban life, social pressures and the struggles of youth.
