Eydís Evensen is an Icelandic composer, pianist, and vocalist whose music weaves together classical training with ambient minimalism. Born in Blönduós on 5th February 1994, she began piano lessons at six and composed her first piece at seven. Her debut album, Bylur (2021), charted at #23 on the UK Classical Artist Albums Chart, and she was featured in The Line of Best Fit’s 2021 Artists on the Rise and Classic FM’s 30 Under 30 Stars on the Rise.
Her second album, The Light (2022), further established her as a distinctive voice in contemporary classical music, showcasing intricate piano compositions layered with rich, atmospheric arrangements. Eydís has performed at prestigious venues including The Royal Albert Hall, SXSW, the Nobel Prize Museum, and the ESNS Festival, and has been featured on KEXP. Her music is celebrated for its ability to evoke profound emotion, offering listeners a contemplative and immersive experience. With a growing international following, Eydís Evensen continues to captivate audiences with her refined artistry and deeply moving compositions.
