Erin Rae is a Nashville-raised singer-songwriter whose music draws together indie-folk, cosmic country and baroque-pop into intimate songs rooted in self-reflection. She made her name with her critically acclaimed 2018 debut album, Putting On Airs, before pushing her sound further on Lighten Up, produced by Jonathan Wilson and recorded in California's Topanga Canyon with contributions from Kevin Morby, Meg Duffy of Hand Habits and Ny Oh.
Rae's songwriting earned her a nomination for Emerging Act of The Year at the 2019 Americana Music Awards, and she has performed at Newport Folk Festival and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, as well as sharing stages with Father John Misty, Jenny Lewis, Jason Isbell, Hiss Golden Messenger and Iron & Wine. In 2023, she was also honoured with Newport Folk's "Jim James Award" for her guest appearances across the festival. Known for her arresting, tender voice, Rae writes songs that lean into vulnerability and self-acceptance, inviting listeners to feel a little softer towards themselves.
