Ellie O’Neill is an Irish singer-songwriter from Co. Meath, known for her rich, emotive blend of alternative folk and indie influences. Writing primarily with voice and acoustic guitar, her music explores themes of intimacy, loss, friendship and queer identity, delivered through both delicate, meditative arrangements and more expansive, grungy textures. Her recent work, including singles such as “Bohemia” and “Anna with the Silver Arrow”, has marked her out as a distinctive new voice within the contemporary folk scene.
Building a growing reputation as a live performer, O’Neill has toured across the UK and Ireland, including appearances at festivals such as Green Man and Pitchfork London. She has also supported artists including Adrianne Lenker, further expanding her audience. With her debut album Time of Fallow (2026), she continues to develop a deeply personal and atmospheric sound, establishing herself as one of the most compelling emerging artists in modern folk.
