Down at the Abbey Festival is an annual music and arts festival that takes place in Reading, Berkshire. The festival features a line-up of live music across two stages, as well as a range of food and drink options from award-winning beers & ciders to the finest selection of gourmet street food.
The festival is held in the beautiful surroundings of Reading Abbey Ruins, offering a unique and historic backdrop for the event. With its diverse line-up and range of entertainment options, Down at the Abbey Festival has become a popular summer destination for music and arts lovers in the South East of England.
This festival is the perfect size, not too crowded, with plenty of space to watch the bands. The venue was interesting and atmospheric in the Reading abbey ruins. There was a really diverse and interesting line-up of bands and a good opportunity to get close-up to watch them and meet them afterwards. The sound quality was good. The food selection was good, and was of high quality. The beer was also very good. Best of all was no queues! I found it a really enjoyable experience overall. It's the first time I have visited, I came to see BC Camplight, but no that I have experienced the event I will be back next year whatever the headliner.

I went along on the Friday evening. Amazing setting, very well arranged for the festival, nicely lit. One thing I particularly appreciated was the excellent quality of the live sound. See you next year!
