CONNOLLY HAYES
Live at The Old Brewery Store, Faversham
Friday 23rd April 2027
Rockin' Roots Events presents one of the most exciting live acts in the British blues scene — and they're bringing it all to Faversham.
Connolly Hayes are a force. Five long-time friends — vocalist Jess Hayes, guitarist and vocalist Frankie Connolly, bassist Beau Barnard, keys wizard Joe Mac, and drummer Andy Wilder — who've been quietly building one of the most devoted followings on the UK blues circuit, and it's not hard to understand why. Catch them once and you'll be back.
Nominated for UK Band of the Year and Album of the Year at the UK Blues Awards 2025, and now riding high on their long-awaited second album, Connolly Hayes are at a creative and commercial peak. Their debut record Remember Me(2024) earned Pick of the Month from the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association and introduced the world to a band capable of dropping jaws in multiple directions — raw, riff-driven blues rock that draws comparisons to Bad Company one moment, and deep, trembling Southern soul the next.
At the heart of it are two voices that simply shouldn't be this good together. Jess Hayes carries that rare, effortless authority — a husky, commanding instrument that draws every ear in a room. Frankie Connolly trades and harmonises alongside her with a warmth that makes the whole thing feel less like a performance and more like a conversation you happened to walk into. Add virtuoso guitar work, expressive keys, and a rhythm section that grooves — and you have something genuinely special.
Live, they don't hold back. Expect a proper show — long, loud, and impossible to stand still through. Songs like Midnight in Harlem, Tired of This Love, Secret, and the irresistible Lover Ain't A Fighter have been packing dancefloors across the UK and Europe, and the new album material has taken things up another gear entirely. These are 13+ songs and two hours of music that earns every minute.
The setting could not be more perfect. The Old Brewery Store sits in the heart of the Shepherd Neame Brewery — Britain's oldest, with roots stretching back to the 1570s. Vaulted ceilings. Exposed brickwork. Atmospheric industrial bones that were built for exactly this kind of night. With a capacity of just 250, this is an intimate room where the music takes over completely and there's nowhere to hide — from the sound, or from yourself.
"The British blues rock scene has got another very nice sounding band and a hell of a singer." — Bluestown Music
"Two of the most soulful voices in the business, virtuoso guitar and keys, and a rhythm section that grooves harder than anyone else."
"Turning heads internationally with their unforgettable fusion of blues, rock, and soul."
