Blazin' Fiddles are a contemporary Scottish fiddle band from the Highlands and Islands, renowned for their dynamic performances and mastery of regional fiddle styles. Formed in 1998 for a one-off tour of the Scottish Highlands, the band's exceptional reception led them to continue performing together. Their lineup includes Bruce MacGregor (Inverness), Kristan Harvey (Orkney), Rua Macmillan (Nairn), Jenna Reid (Shetland), Anna Massie (Fortrose), and Angus Lyon (Biggar), each bringing their unique regional influences to the ensemble.
Over the years, Blazin' Fiddles have become one of Scotland's most celebrated folk acts, winning multiple Scots Trad Music Awards, including Folk Band of the Year in 2013 and 2019. Their performances are characterised by a blend of virtuosic fiddle playing, powerful guitar and piano accompaniment, and a lively stage presence that has captivated audiences worldwide. They have graced prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the BBC Proms, and continue to tour extensively, sharing the rich musical heritage of Scotland with global audiences.
