BERENICE are a UK hardcore/crust punk band from East Anglia known for their ferocious blend of hardcore, sludge, crust and grind, delivering intense, raw and uncompromising music. Formed in early (2023), the group recorded their self-titled debut EP Berenice in true DIY fashion, capturing a visceral sonic onslaught defined by brutal riffs, punishing rhythms and screamed vocals. Their sound draws influence from heavy underground acts such as Nails, Gatecreeper, Black Breath and Power Trip, forging a visceral and cathartic expression of rage and frustration at modern injustices.
Released on 16 August (2024) via APF Records, Berenice showcases tracks such as “Torment”, “Problems” and “Reflection”, all marked by raw energy and relentless intensity. The band’s lyrics confront stark realities with candid force, channelling anger and discontent into a cathartic musical experience that resonates with fans of extreme music. Beyond the studio, they have begun building a reputation for ferocious live shows across the UK, bringing their punishing performance style to underground venues and connecting with audiences drawn to unfiltered heavy music.
