Since adopting the moniker Baths in 2009, Will Wiesenfeld has become known for crafting intricately layered and emotionally resonant pop that walks the line between experimental electronic and heartfelt introspection. Blending glitchy textures and ethereal melodies with his signature falsetto vocals, Baths first made waves with his debut album Cerulean (2010), earning widespread acclaim from outlets like Pitchfork. His follow-up, Obsidian (2013), further cemented his reputation, exploring darker themes inspired by personal struggles, while receiving Pitchfork's coveted Best New Music distinction.
A classically trained multi-instrumentalist and singer, Wiesenfeld’s creativity extends beyond Baths to projects like Geotic and collaborations with artists such as Odesza, Katie Dey, and Loraine James. His 2017 album, Romaplasm, reimagined pop songs as deeply personal and bittersweet explorations of identity and emotion. More recently, Wiesenfeld has expanded into soundtrack work, releasing a two-volume score for the Netflix series Bee and PuppyCat (2023) and composing his first film score for Big Boys, which earned accolades at Outfest.
