Apogee returns to the basement on Friday 21st August, kicking off immediately after NULLstate at WhereElse for a free party. Last time was killer, there were puddles on the floor when the lights came up - let’s do it again.
This time our resident party-starter Apogee Joe is joined by an old friend for another all-night b2b… a core member of the Apogee crew when we first started throwing parties in pub basements over a decade ago: Goaty.
Goaty was there from the start, warming up or closing down for the likes of Swarm Intelligence, Parrish Smith and Sleeparchive in some of London’s finest small basements. He made the move to Sweden where he became a resident on Malmö’s Retreat Radio with his F.I.T.S show, even playing on their stage at the inimitable NORBURGFESTIVAL at Mimerlaven Mine. He’s an incredibly deep crate-digger and his selections will always keep you guessing - a DJs DJ, and one of the finest we know. Anybody who attended previous events should be familiar with Apogee Joe by now… but for those who haven’t, he’s the driving force behind our parties and lover of sounds all across the techno-industrial spectrum. You’re equally likely to find him spinning fuzzy ambient & drone as you are slamming out 150bpm shellers (but most likely somewhere inbetween). Joe also hosts a show on Margate Radio, first Saturday of every month, 14:00-15:00, where you can listen to the less dance floor-oriented side of the Apogee manifesto.
