Melanie C is an English singer-songwriter, DJ and television personality best known as a member of the Spice Girls, one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. Rising to global fame in the 1990s as “Sporty Spice”, she helped define the era with chart-topping hits including “Wannabe”, “Say You’ll Be There” and “Spice Up Your Life”. Following the group’s success, Melanie C launched a solo career with her debut album Northern Star (1999), which featured singles including “Never Be the Same Again” and “I Turn to You”, establishing her as a successful solo artist in her own right.
Alongside her solo releases, including Beautiful Intentions (2005) and Melanie C (2020), she has continued to tour extensively across the UK and internationally, earning a reputation for energetic live performances and powerful vocals. Beyond music, Melanie C has appeared in stage productions, television programmes and reunion tours with the Spice Girls, maintaining her status as one of British pop’s most recognisable and enduring performers.
