Iron Maiden are one of the most influential heavy metal bands in the world, formed in London in 1975 by bassist and songwriter Steve Harris. Known for their galloping riffs, operatic vocals and elaborate stage shows, the band’s early albums Iron Maiden (1980), Killers (1981) and The Number of the Beast (1982) helped define the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Tracks like “Run to the Hills”, “The Trooper” and “Hallowed Be Thy Name” became instant classics, securing their reputation as masters of melodic yet powerful metal.
Over the decades, Iron Maiden have released landmark albums including Powerslave (1984), Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (1988), Brave New World (2000) and Senjutsu (2021). They have headlined festivals worldwide, including Download Festival and Wacken Open Air, and sold out arenas and stadiums across the UK, Europe, the Americas and beyond. Their live shows are legendary, combining theatricality, pyrotechnics and anthemic energy, captivating generations of fans.
