The Hype Theory are a powerpop/punk band from Chelmsford, Essex.
The band formed in the summer of 2010 after lead vocalist Katy Jackson and Guitarist Sean Bishop spent a year of experimental writing together at college.
The pair then finished the line up with Josh Coombes on drums and Tom Harrison on Guitar.
