Icelandic singer-songwriter Emiliana Torrini explores indie-pop, trip-hop, and alt-rock. Torrini co-wrote Kylie Minogue's "Slow" for which she received a Grammy nomination and her cover of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" was used in the action film Sucker Punch.
Torrini was a former member of the techno group GusGus and worked on their debut album Polydistortion (1997) and the track "Why".
Her solo career has seen the release of seven albums, including Crouçie d'où là (1995), Merman (1996), Love in the Time of Science (1999), Fisherman's Woman (2005), Me and Armini (2008), Tookah (2013) and Racing the Storm with the Colorist Orchestra (2023).
